We are never too young or old to benefit from the ancient practices of mindfulness and yoga. We are never too young or old to enjoy a whimsical book or a lovely walk. With Riley’s Yoga Walk, we can do it all! Rileys Yoga Walk serves as a perfect example of “beginners mind,” that is, each moment of this routine neighborhood stroll is filled with new enthusiasm and curiosity. Along the way, Riley joins Cary for delightful moments of mindful yoga movement. In their debut children’s book, sisters, Cary Saltsgaver and Stacey Harris, have teamed up to combine their expertise in mindfulness, yoga, and art to create a beautiful book that will resonate with adults and children of all ages. I highly recommend adding this book to your library. It’s sure to become a classic. Undoubtedly, you will want to share this book with loved ones as well. I can’t wait to see what Riley is up to next!

“This is an incredible book. It’s a testament to the power of precise words and delightful art. This book professes to be a ‘mindful experience’ for humans and dogs of all ages. Mindful is an understatement. I do not do yoga and I do not have a dog, but I found myself following along (as if I had been subliminally directed), stretching my body and feeling, seeing, and hearing. What a wonderful thing it is to share with your child the joy to be found in everyday events. I was on that walk with Riley. I defy you to read this book without doing the yoga poses. Your body will move on its own, you will feel the wind on your skin, you will float on the breeze like a butterfly and you will stretch your branches up to the sky. Children will love it—it’s interactive. Read this book along with your child. These are the everyday moments that create that feeling of abundant love. Thanks for the walk, Riley.”
